Movement and Settlement Monitoring

At Geo Vision Surveying Inc, our construction monitoring surveys observe and measure changes in the structure or position of buildings, infrastructure, or natural landforms over time. Utilizing advanced surveying techniques, we provide essential data for projects where stability and structural integrity are crucial, such as construction sites, excavations next to existing buildings, and structures where settlement monitoring is required. We measure and report movement and settlement at agreed monitoring points. Baseline observations and repeat readings provide information for the project engineer’s review. Monitoring scope, frequency and reporting requirements are agreed before work begins.

A monitoring survey starts with baseline measurements of marked points on the structure or ground before work begins. The same points are then measured again at the intervals agreed with the project engineer, and each round is compared with the baseline and earlier rounds so any movement can be reported early.
